In a continuation of the last couple of games v Lakehill, this weekends weather report is calling for the possibility of wind and cold temperatures!! (changes daily)

The three regular season games between the two clubs were spirited affairs. Gorge FC took the first game at home on Sept 24 by the score of 4-3. The second match played Nov 12 on a poor pitch was won by Gorge FC 1- nil. The third and final regular season game between the two clubs was played on Jan 28 with Gorge FC victorious with a 3-1 final score.

Gorge FC comes off an idle weekend after having defeated Bays United on Feb 4 in the Quarter-Finals. All other fields were closed due to the weather, and matches rescheduled to Feb 11th.

Gorge FC's last action was against the UVic Vikes Women who they played to a 2-2 draw on Feb 8. The match was a great character builder for the boys as UVic play an exceptionally good positional game always knowing where each other are and they are terrific with their passing.

Lakehill arguably had the easy draw in the Quarter-Finals playing away to Salt Spring who toil in the Silver division and currently sit in 9th place. Lakehill handily defeated Salt Spring 7-0.

League results and recent matches tip Gorge FC for this game, however, like every Cup game, anything can happen and the boys need to be prepared to play hard for a full 80 minutes. Gorge FC practices have been up tempo and the spirit and enthusiasm of the squad is high.

Other weekend action has Peninsula hosting Cowichan in the other B Cup Semi-Final, and Prospect Lake hosting Gordon Head in a league game. Bays United has a bye.
