Gorge FC (11-1-0) v Lakehill (7-1-4)


Lakehill visits Hampton Park for the third and final league game between the two clubs.

The first match on Sept 24 saw Gorge FC winning 4-3 at home with four different goalscorers (Quinn, Jordy, Mark and Thor).

The second match on Nov 12 was settled just minutes from the end (Russell) on a sloppy Lakehill pitch ending 1-0 in Gorge FC's favour.

Gorge FC, fresh off a 8-0 pasting of Bays United is looking very strong. When Gorge FC use their skills, keeping it simple, passing the ball, marking well and having good shot selection, they are tough to break down.

Two good practices this week sees Gorge FC firing on all cylinders.

Lakehill on the other hand, sitting in third place in the table, arrive after dropping a 4-2 decision to Gordon Head (9-1-3) last weekend.

It should be an entertaining affair. If both teams advance through their respective Quarter-Final B Cup matches on Feb 4, they will be meeting again in the Semi-Finals on Feb 11.
