Friendly game against U16 Cordova Bay Gold.




A lively encounter for both teams to start 2006. A Cranberry sauce fuelled Mark Buchanan opened the scoring for Gorge FC going hard to the net and slotting the ball right side past the diving keeper.

Cordova Bay got one back before the break on a cross from the right tapped in past Mateusz by an unmarked striker.

After the break, Jordy smacked one in from close range off the keepers hands after a good shot from Ryan.

Later in the game, with good sustained pressure by Gorge FC saw Quinn launch one for the top left corner only for it to curl a bit more than he wanted and clang off the post.

The game ended in a well deserved 2-1 victory for Gorge FC.

Notes: Missing 6 players and had to put in Coach Danny at sweeper to make up our 11.
Every player did themselves and the team proud by their effort. Playing a full 80 minutes without subs against a U16 Gold team with 4 subs on the bench.
Mateusz, Mohin, David, Kevin, Ryan, Thor, Russell, Jordy, Quinn, Mark and of course Coach Danny played outstanding football and impressed the opposition.
