A goal 45 seconds into this onesided match was indicative of the total domination Gorge FC produced on this cold sunny afternoon finishing the game tieing the most goals scored this season with an 8-0 win.

0:45 Ryan from midfield plays a pass to Russ wide on the left. Russ beats his man and from the top of the 18 yard box takes a shot on goal that the keeper cannot control, it rolls to the right side of the box where Jordy raced in to tap it home. 1-0 Gorge FC

6:30 Jordy just over the half line is dribbling in the middle of three Peninsula players tight on the left touch line. He breaks free and sends a pass into the middle of the pitch to Ryan. Ryan takes off with the ball going to the right of goal. His speed and ball control leaves a few defenders in his wake. Closing in on the keeper from the right side of the box he cooling sends it into the right corner. 2-0 Gorge FC

35:00 Josh wins a tackle and feeds the ball to Ryan midfield. He sends a long 30 yard pass to Quinn who takes it at the top of the box, turns in towards the onrushing keeper and from 15 yards out shoots to the right into the open net. 3-0 Gorge FC

Half time: Coach Danny wants more goals to solidify the win and impresses upon the boys to keep a clean sheet. Mateusz gives way in goal to Thor. Mateusz did not have a single shot on goal.

44:00 Top of the box a give and go from Clayton to Mateusz back to Clayton. From 10 yards out Clayton shoots on goal and the keeper parries it away into the feet of onrushing Mateusz who has the open net. 4-0 Gorge FC

50:00 David from outside the box plays it in to Jordy leftside 10 yards out. Jordy turns on the ball and puts a quick shot into the short side. 5-0 Gorge FC

71:00 RJ on the left plays the ball forward to David. David runs in and from the top of the 18 yard box left side shoots far side into the corner of the net. 6-0 Gorge FC

74:00 David spots Quinn inside the top left corner of the 18 yard box and feeds him the ball. Quinn moves in and shoots far corner hitting the post and the ball bouncing in. 7-0 Gorge FC

78:00 Russ tight on the end zone line left of the keeper passes across the mouth of the goal. The keeper is unable to get to it with Clayton moving in to one time it into the open goal. 8-0 Gorge FC

Notes:
Missing Tom, Mark and Kevin for this match. The first 10 minutes were played without subs as Josh and David came late. Thor made a couple of saves late in the second half that preserved the shutout. The defense did not allow Peninsula to penetrate to any effect and fed the ball up well to midfield. The passing and skills were shining today and three players (Clayton/David/Ryan) scored their first goals of the season.
